Jose and his team did a fantastic job on our backyard hardscaping, delivering efficiency, a quick turnaround, and high-quality craftsmanship with impressive attention to detail. From quote for design and decide for material took us 2 weeks, then project was done in 5 days for both me and my neighbor's backyard hardscaping! I waited two months before leaving this review to assess the durability of their work, and I will continue updating it to reflect long-term quality. Our backyard’s foundation was a mix of gravel and clay, requiring extensive preparation. Jose's team brought in an excavator and removed at least 10 inches of material to ensure stability. They then laid a thick layer of gravel, compacted it multiple times along the way, and achieved perfect leveling with a slight slope toward the French drain they also installed. The project faced unexpected challenges due to tariff changes and a trade dispute with Canada in early April 2025. The supplier struggled to set consistent prices, leading to fluctuating costs with each material delivery. On the third day, only part of the materials arrived, while the rest were stuck at the border due to pricing confusion. Jose stepped up, navigating multiple rounds of communication with suppliers to resolve the issue. His determination ensured the project stayed on track, minimizing schedule disruptions—despite likely absorbing some of the increased tariff costs himself. Beyond technical expertise, Jose and his team demonstrated exceptional customer focus and adaptability. One corner of the backyard had a greater-than-expected slope after excavation, which could have posed structural issues. Without extra charge, Jose adjusted the plan by adding two retaining walls with compacted gravel to further stabilize the foundation. Not only did this improve durability, but it also enhanced aesthetics and expanded our usable hardscaped area. As the project neared completion, Jose noticed I had several dozen Mexican pebble rocks from a previous project that could be repurposed to top off the French drain. Without hesitation, he helped source additional matching bags to ensure a seamless finish. Instead of charging for customization, he only billed me for materials, treating it as a thoughtful enhancement rather than an upsell. On finalizing the project, the team went above and beyond by refreshing my front yard with new mulch. I call that finishing strong! Now, both my front and backyard look fantastic—much more polished and upscale than before. I will definitely reach out to Jose again for future front yard projects.
